CHARITY NEWS

Earlier this year, Alfie McLaughlin, one of our pupils in P5, decided he would like to raise money for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.  He came up with the idea to sell lemonade to people passing his house.  After some discussion at home, it was decided it might be better to have a sweet and bake sale for friends.

Alfie, started the planning and enlisted the help of his big brother, Oliver (P7).  In September 2022, the boys held the fundraiser in their family home, with almost one hundred people calling in, including members of their family, friends and neighbours.

As a result of their venture, they raised the amazing total of £2026.  This kindness is a true reflection of the type of pupils we have at our school.  Today, Thursday 1st December 2022 they presented a cheque to Molly, from the NI Cancer Fund for Children.

We are all so proud of the boys – Well done!
