Take 5 school activities can be a simple, effective way to support learning and wellbeing at home for children at Carnmoney Primary. These short, structured routines help primary pupils build focus, confidence, and positive habits without adding pressure to busy family schedules.

Over the last three years, wellbeing has been at the top of our agenda as we believe that when our staff's wellbeing is prioritised, they can be better for our pupils. We also believe that when pupils have a good sense of wellbeing, they will learn more effectively and enjoy school even more!

we do assemblies each half term when the pupils take the lead and teach us what each step means, we also integrate these steps into our teaching activities and once a half term we have a wellbeing Wednesday, when the day's learning activities take a slight shift towards one or more of these steps.

At Carnmoney Primary, parents can encourage a “Take 5 school” approach by setting aside time to be active, take notice, give, keep learning and connect.  Here is a short video about what it means to us.
